Amanda Taylor

Amanda has 25 years experience in Financial Services across a variety of roles from pension providers to investment management, but throughout has always worked with Financial Advisers, so it is no surprise that she has eventually taken this route.

At home, Amanda has three teenage children and a dog, Archie, so there is no chance of lazy weekends with a lie in. She is a passionate cook and baker, likes to keep fit and gets a round of golf in when she can. She loves her holidays and can often be seen with Archie, enjoying the heat of the British summer in Anglesey.

Mark Hilton

Mark qualified as a financial adviser in 1992 before joining Fairhurst Financial Planning in 2005, now part of the Allied Group. He specialises in investments, company SIPP property purchases and pension planning, including income in retirement.

Outside of work, Mark likes to spend time with family and loves to travel, with one of their favourite places being the Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs and World Cup venue for 2026. Mark also works for the FA (Football Association) as a consultant offering guidance on finances to football clubs across the North West.

Martin Stewart

Martin has been a qualified adviser in the financial services profession since 1999. He joined Fairhurst Financial Planning in 2005, now part of the Allied Group, and has considerable experience working with both individual and corporate clients in all areas of financial planning.

Away from work, Martin and family spend as much time as possible in France, their favourite holiday destination, and getting out with the family dog, Shadow, for long walks. Martin is a lifelong Blackpool FC supporter and can regularly be found at Bloomfield Road with his son, hoping for a win!

Keith Jackson

Keith has been an IFA for over 20 years, following a successful career in the Navy. He has a wealth of experience in pensions, investments and protection, and is also our resident specialist in Later Life Planning, being authorised to advise on funding for Long-Term Care provisions.

Outside of work, Keith likes to walk his dog, Wolfie, around the spectacular countryside of West Yorkshire. He enjoys cooking, is a keen photographer, regularly partaking in photography competitions, and when time allows, enjoys building his extensive collection of very intricate scale models.

Oliver Marshall

Oliver is the latest addition to our adviser team, having successfully achieved his Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning in summer 2022. He has gone from strength to strength and with his very personable nature is already building what will no doubt be long term client relationships as well as being a valuable member of the team.

In his spare time Oliver likes to socialise and travel with friends, he’s an avid supporter of Manchester United and a regular darts player. He also has a dog called Archie!

Joanne Bate

Joanne is our Office Manager and has been at the heart of the business since it started. She is responsible for managing the support team, keeping all the business finances in order, and ensuring a smooth running of day to day business.

When not in work, Joanne has an equally busy life keeping up with two daughters who both excel in their preferred activities of football and dance. Both Joanne, and husband Craig, can be forgiven for that extra glass of wine after each weekend of coaching, supporting, being taxi and not forgetting to fit in time for Liverpool FC.

Kate Russell

Kate joined us in September 2022 after achieving her A levels from St John Rigby Sixth Form College. She has already proven she is an asset to the business, learning quickly, handling client queries efficiently and we look forward to seeing where Kate’s career with Allied takes her.

Outside of work, Kate is very family oriented and likes to socialise with her mum just as much as her friends. She has a cat called Oreo, she loves the outdoors, is a keen runner and likes to socialise with friends.

Michelle Taylor

Michelle is a fantastic addition to the Allied team, having spent 20 years working for Barlcays Bank. She brings with her excellent customer service skills and compliance knowledge that will prove invaluable to our team.

When not at work, Michelle is studying for an English degree and is very busy with her three teenage boys, so she’s never short of something to do.

Oliver Purvis

Oliver started with Allied in December 2023, after successfully completing an apprenticeship. He joined adviser support and has been a great addition to the team.
 
Outside of work, Oliver is an avid Wigan Athletic supporter, going to as many games as possible both home and away. He enjoys keeping fit, having recently done his first half marathon, and loves to travel with his girlfriend.
